AMPHIBIOUS WARFARE THE COMMITTEE considered a minute+ by the Secretary, covering a minute from the Director of Naval Intelligence enclosing a letter from the Chief of Amphibious Warfare, in which he asked for an assessment of the capabilities of the Communists to stage amphibious operations in South East Asia. CAPTAIN HILKEN said that this point was not covered in the reportø now being prepared on Communist Intentions and Capabilities in South East Asia and the Far East and a short report would be valuable.
