CONFIDENTIAL 1. THE SCALE OF FIFTH COLUMN ACTIVITY TO BE EXPECTED IN THE EVENT OF WAR WITH THE SOVIET UNION BETWEEN THE PRESENT DATE AND THE END OF 1952. (Previous reference: J.I.C.(51)64th Meeting, minute 3 of 21st June, 1951). THE COMMITTEE had before them e minute by the Secretary+ covering a minute by the Security Service, forwarding a report which they had prepared in consultation with M.I.6 and the colonial Office on the scale of Fifth column activity to be expected in the event of war with the Soviet Union between the present date and the end of 1952.
