COLONEL WILLIAMS said that at present no other rank in the British Army held an identity card other than AB. 64, which contained no photograph. The War Office presumed that the adoption of Article 3 by N.A.T.O. powers entailed the provision of on identity card with photograph for all British other ranks now serving in Europe. The War Office had, therefore, referred this matter to the Committee for their views. GROUP CAPTAIN HEARS said that all ranks in the Royal Air Force held identity cards which included a photograph; the provisions of Article 3 of the Treaty were therefore complied with as far as the Royal Air Force were concerned.
