TOP SECRET TI-E COMMITTEE:Instructed the Secretary to inform the Joint Intelligence Committee, Germany and the United Kingdom Military Representative at S.H.A.P.E. of their views accordingly. 2. RANGE OF THE TYPE 27 LIGHT BOMBER. TOP SECRET THE COMMITTEE had before them a minute by the Secretary+ covering a minute by the Air Ministry reporting revised assessments of the capabilities of the Soviet Type 27 light bomber. GROUP CAPTAIN PAUL said that the Air Ministry did not consider that the presence of the Type 27 in Germany indicated a threat to this country at the present time greater than was described in the Committee's current report on the scale and nature of air attack on the United Kingdomø.
