After further discussion there was general agreement that the following amendment to paragraph 4 of the draft comments would be satisfactory:Delete 3rd sentence and substitute: "we consider that some credence should be "attributed to some of these reports and "that there may well be four Chinese "Divisions and other small independent "groups in Tonking". THE COMMITTEE:Approved the draft comments, as amended in discussion, and instructed the Secretary to forward them to the Joint Intelligence Committee, Far East, accordingly.
