TOP SECRET 4. REVIEW OF THE SITUATION ROUND THE SOVIET AND SATELLITE PERIMETER. (Previous reference: J.I.C.(51) 50th Meeting, Minute 2). THE COMMITTEE had their weekly discussion to review the situation round the Soviet and Satellite perimeter, to determine whether there were any fresh indications of Soviet or Soviet inspired aggressive moves. SOVIET AND WESTERN SECTOR. See Annex. MIDDLE EAST. Persia. There was no sign of any Soviet move concerning Persia and there had been no direct Soviet propaganda comment; but Moscow had repeated local Persian Communist comment.
