TOP SECRET. 2. SCALE AND NATURE OF AIR ATTACK ON THE UNITED KINGDOM 1951-1957. THE COMMITTEE had before them a Minute by the Secretaryø covering suggested amendments to the report≠ on the Scale and Nature of Air Attack on the United Kingdom, 1951-1957. AIR VICE MARSHAL OGILVIE FORBES apologised for circulating amendments to a report which had already been finalised and submitted to the Chiefs of Staff. He had, however, discussed the report with the Vice Chief of the Air Staff, in the latter's capacity as a member of the Chiefs of Staff Sub-Committee on Air Defence and he had been asked to make some small amendments to clarify certain points for the benefit of the Air Defence Committee Working Party.
