3. DISCLOSURE OF CLASSIFIED P/W CONFIDENTIAL INELLIGENCE INFORMATION THROUGH LECTURES ON ESCAPE AND EVASION. (Previous Reference: J.I.C.(51) 12th Meeting, Minute h of 1st February, 1951). MR. REILLY recalled that at a previous meeting the Committee had been informed of Air Marshal Embry's intention to lecture on evasion and escape. Anxiety had been expressed regarding the security of this subject particularly as a 'D' Notice had recently been issued on this subject. The Committee had requested that service Departments should be given the opportunity of examining the text of any lecture on evasion and escape before it was delivered, and had invited the Air Ministry to convey their views to Air Marshal Embry accordingly.
