2. COMMAND ORGANISATION IN THE SOVIET TOP SECRET ARMED FORCES. THE COMMITTEE had before them:(a) A revised draft report+ on Command Organisation in the Soviet Armed Forces. (b) A minuteby the Secretary covering a letter from the Director of Military Intelligence. (c) A minuteø by the Secretary covering a Security Service re-draft of Part XVIII of the report. (d) A minute≠ by the Secretary covering a list of amendments to the report, prepared by the Joint Intelligence Staff. BRIGADIER JOHNSTONE said there were two points for consideration by the Committee, the first was to approve the information detailed in the report, and the second, whether all or parts of this report could be released for use by elements of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (N.A.T.O.).
