THE COMMITTEE then considered the draft report on the Chinese Communist Threat in the Far East and South East Asia paragraph by paragraph. A considerable number of amendments were suggested and it was also agreed that certain paragraphs should be redrafted. It was therefore agreed that the Directors of Intelligence should arrange for their views to be briefed to their representatives on the Joint Intelligence Staff and that a revised draft report should be prepared for clearance by telephone. THE COMMITTEE:(3) Instructed the Joint Intelligence Staff to prepare a revised draft report on the Chinese Communist Threat in the Far East and South East Asia as a matter of urgency, for clearance by telephone.
