3. J.I.C. (FAR EAST) WEEKLY CHINA SECRET SITUATION REPORTS. (Previous Reference: J.I.C.(50) 3rd Meeting, Minute 8). THE COMMITTEE had before them a minute+ by the Secretary covering a minute from the Secretary, Joint Intelligence Committee, (Far East), concerning suggestions for modifying the procedure in the rendering of weekly telegrams and appreciations on the situation in China and indications of further aggressive moves by the Communists in the Far East. The Joint Intelligence Committee (Far East) had stated that they considered there was a degree of overlap and duplication between their weekly China situation report and their weekly appreciation of indications of further aggressive moves by the Communists in the Far East.
