TOP SECRET morale in Yugoslavia and those which would be of value to the army in the light of their present state of training and efficiency: for the former purpose conspicuous items of equipment might be required despite possible lack of training in their use, whereas for the latter purpose such items as anti-tank guns and barbed wire might be more effective. A further factor was our lack of knowledge of the extent to which the Yugoslavs had stocks of spare parts for the Russian equipment which they now possessed: the main fact we did know was that no replacements were now obtainable from Russia.
