THE COMMITTEE considered a minute+ by the Secretary covering a report by the Joint Intelligence Bureau on the value of the work done by the Documents Research Section, which had been prepared at the request of the Committee. CAPTAIN LITCHFIELD-SPEER said that the Admiralty maintained their view that, although it was not disputed that the reports prepared by the Documents Research Section were of value to the Joint Intelligence Bureau, it was considered that the information contained in these reports might possibly be produced from other sources at a lower cost.
