BEACH RECONNAISSANCES MIDDLE EAST TOP SECRET (Previous Reference: J.I.C.(48) 121st Meeting, Minute 1) THE COMMITTEE had before them :(i) A telegram from the Secretary, Joint Intelligence Committee, Middle East+, requesting clarification of the extent of the beach reconnaissance of the Turkish coast which had been agreed to by the Turkish authorities, and reporting that certain air photographic cover was urgently required to facilitate the work of the beach reconnaissance teams; and (ii) A minute by the Secretarycovering copies of certain documents relevant to this subject.
