3. REQUEST BY INDIA FOR INFORMATION ON COMBINED OPERATIONS SECRET GUARD THE COMMITTEE had before them a minute+ by the Secretary covering a memorandum from the War Office suggesting that, subject to the Committee's approval, a request by India for copies of the Combined Operations Handbook No. 1A, which was a Secret document, should be acceded to. COLONEL HARDING-NEWMAN recalled that two copies of the Handbook in question had, through an oversight, already been sent to members of the Indian armed forces.
