SECRET in order to meet special circumstances regarding the relationship between certain local Intelligence Committees in the Far East and the Joint Intelligence Committee, Far East, such as the case of the local Intelligence Committee, Hong Kong, which had been discussed at a previous meeting+, paragraph 15 of the revised draft charter should be amended as follows:"15. In View of the responsibility of the Joint Intelligence Committee, Far East, for co-ordination of all intelligence and security intelligence activities in the area of direct responsibility, all inter-Service Intelligence Boards, Committees, and Sub-Committees in that area should work in the closest liaison with the Joint Intelligence Committee, Far East." Certain further amendments to the revised draft charter and covering letter and reports were suggested and agreed.
