DOWNGRADING AND DECLASSIFICATION OF CONFIDENTIAL DOCUMENTS THE COMMITTEE had before them a minute+ by the Secretary covering a minute by the Secretary, Joint Intelligence Committee, Washington, reporting a discussion with the Chairman, on his recent visit to the United States, on the downgrading and declassification of documents. The Committee were informed that the problem of handling requests from the Americans for the regrading of classified documents had now attained considerable proportions.
