2. POLITICAL ACTIVITIES IN SOUTH EAST ASIA WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO COMMUNISM TOP SECRET (Previous Reference: J.I.C. (49) 44th Meeting, Minute 6) THE COMMITTEE considered a minute+ by the Secretary covering draft comments on the report by the Joint Intelligence Sub-Committee, India, on political activities in South East Asia with special reference to Communism, together with a minuteby the Secretary covering suggested amendments by M.I.6 to these draft comments. AIR VICE MARSHAL PENDRED recalled that it was the intention of the Committee that, when finally approved, their comments on the report by the Joint Intelligence Sub-Committee, India, should be passed to Air Marshal Sir Thomas Elmhirst at their meeting with him the following week, for him to take back to India with him on his return.
