3. SOVIET GUIDED MISSILE PROGRAMME TOP SECRET COMBINED STUDY (Previous Reference: J.I.C.(49) 39th Meeting. Minute 2) THE COMMITTEE considered further a detailed report+ by the Combined Anglo-American Conference on Guided Missiles and a summary of the report-. MAJOR-GENERAL STRONG suggested that the attention of the Chiefs of Staff should be drawn, in a covering note, to the fact that the report was essentially an investigation into the progress made by the Russians in the field of development and research and that the Joint Intelligence Bureau had made no specific contribution on the production aspect of the programme for the reasons stated in paragraph 50 on page 177 of the report and in paragraph 63 on page 179.
