SCALE AND NATURE OF INITIAL AIR ATTACK TOP SECRET ON THE UNITED KINGDOM 1957 THE COMMITTEE considered a revised draft report+ reviewing the recent reporton the scale and nature of initial air attack on the United Kingdom in 1957 in the light of the Chiefs of Staff's discussion* and of consultation between Sir Henry Tizard and the Director of the Joint Intelligence Bureau. AIR VICE MARSHAL PENDRED said that the principal revision of their previous report had become necessary in the light of an assessment of casualty rates inflicted on Russian bombers by the British Air Defences made by the Operational Staff of the Air Ministry since the previous report was drafted.
