LONG TERM INTELLIGENCE ON SOVIET PREPAREDNESS TOP SECRET FOR WAR (Previous Reference: J.I.C.(49) 25th Meeting, Minute 2) THE COMMITTEE had before them a minute+ by the Secretary reporting a request that the previous conclusion of the Committee, that the quarterly reports* on short term indications of Russian preparedness for war need no longer continue to be prepared, be reviewed. MR. BRAIN said that although this decision had been suggested in the minute by the Director of Military Intelligence considered at their previous meeting and possibly confirmed by implication from the discussion, it had not been specifically agreed.
