SCALE AND NATURE OF INITIAL AIR ATTACK ON TOP SECRET THE UNITED KINGDOM 1957 THE COMMITTEE considered a minute by the Secretary+ covering a report by the Air Ministry on the scale and nature of initial air attack on the United Kingdom in 1957, which was circulated for consideration as a draft report by the Committee. General THE JOINT INTELLIGENCE STAFF said that on several occasions in the past they had been approached on appreciations which had been prepared on a possible war in 1957, for further or more detailed estimates than had been included in these appreciations.
