TH COMMITTEE considered a report by the Joint Intelligence Committee, (Middle East), on Russian action against Greece in the event of a major war which had been circulated under cover of a Minute by the Secretary+, CAPTAIN BAKER-CRESSWELL said that certain important factors had been omitted from this report. No mention had been made therein of Soviet or Satellite naval activity such as any submarine threat from Albania or Yugoslavia, the use of the sea supply route to Greece by transports, caiques etc., or the possibility of seaborne invasion of Corfu, including sources of the necessary shipping.
