LIEUT.-COLONEL PRICE informed the Committee that before their previous decision to postpone any approaches to the Heads of the Services in Eire could be passed to the General-Officer-Commanding, Northern Ireland, the latter had already discussed the matter with General McKenna, the Eire Chief of General Staff, and had obtained his agreement to a joint reconnaissance by one Irish and one British army Officer.
