(Previous reference: J.I.C.(48) 97th Meeting (0), Minute 4). THE COMMITTEE had before them a minute+ by the Secretary covering a memorandum+by the Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Intelligence) suggesting that in the event of the Americans not being able to undertake the air survey of Turkey, consideration should be given to using for it the radar-controlled Lancaster Squadron, at present committed for some years to come to work on behalf of the Colonial Office.
