the Land/Air Warefare Policy Committee was dealing with the strategic requirement on an ad hoc basis. Continuing, COLONEL ANDERSON, said that it was apparent that the question of strategic photographic reconnaissance was an intelligence matter and should be examined by the Joint Intelligence Committee and not by the Land/Air Warefare Policy Committee. As the latter were not proceeding with their examination there was no risk of confusion in the Joint Intelligence Committee taking up the matter. He was concerned lest, in the event of war, the Air Ministry might have insufficient information to be able to meet the requirements of the other two Services.
