THE COMMITTEE:Took note of the report, and instructed the Secretary to convey the views of the Foreign Office and the Security Service to the Joint Intelligence Committee, Far East. (TOP SECRET). 3. DISCLOSURE OF SCIENTIFIC INFORMATION. PROFESSOR BRUNT informed the Committee that recommendations had been made to the Royal Society for the preparation of directories of sources of specialised scientific information. Although it was anticipated that a number of these documents would not be completed before 1950, high priority had been accorded to one relating to the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research.
