THE COMMITTEE:(a) agreed to the view put forward by the Air Ministry that the Russians would be likely to attempt to overcome Turkey by force of arms before advancing on objectives further to the south, and invited the Joint Intelligence Staff and Departments to proceed with the operational appreciation accordingly.
