(ii) Joint Intelligence Committees abroad should be encouraged to comment on the major reports circulated to them from London and in particular to comment where their particular area was concerned. (iii) The "Work in Hand" lists of Joint Intelligence Committees abroad should be examined and guidance given if ever it appeared that effort was being misdirected. (iv) Departments would of course continue to provide their representatives abroad with all available intelligence of interest to them. THE COMMITTEE :Agreed that for the present guidance to Joint Intelligence Committees abroad should be confined to the measures outlined in discussion.
