HAYTER said that he had been informed that Professor Brunt had agreed, and would be available, to assume the Chairmanship of the Joint Scientific Intelligence Committee from the 1st of May, 1948. It was intended that he should continue to retain his professorship at the Imperial college of Science, and undertake the duties of Honorary Secretary to the Royal Society, but apart from these interests he would have no further outside commitments.
