THE SUB-COMMITTEE :(a) Invited the Admiralty to examine with the appropriate authorities at Cambridge University the possibility of sharing, on an inter-Service basis, the ten vacancies for the study of Slavonic language which had been promised to them. (b) Instructed the Secretary to prepare a draft letter from the Chief of the Air Staff to the Vice Chancellor of Cambridge University for consideration by the Chiefs of Staff in the light of (a) above and to circulate it for their approval.
