'X' MR. HAYTER said that there was scope for preparing a report forthwith which would draw attention to the aims of the Nazis, as described in Hitler's "Mein Kampf", showing how their intentions had been carried out in the event, and how the warning had been generally ignored. The report could then outline Soviet intentions as contained in the pronouncements of their leaders, and indicate how a similar danger might arise if their implications were ignored. It would be misleading to draw a parallel between the two sets of quotations when considered against the respective national policies, but the list of quotations as drawn up by the Foreign Office Research Department could be attached as an Annex to the report.
