2. ANTI-BRITISH SUBVERSIVE ACTIVITIES MIDDLE EAST. (Previous Reference: J.I.C. (47) 28th Meeting (0) Minute 2) THE SUB-COMMITTEE had before them:(1) A Minute* by the Secretary covering a Note by the Foreign Office on the progress achieved since the adoption of the policy for improving the machinery for publicity in the Middle East. (2) Two telegrams+ from the Joint Intelligence Committee, Middle East, expressing their views on the same subject. MR. HAYTER said that it was still early to assess the results achieved since the recent Foreign Office policy for publicity in the Middle East had been adopted.
