GROUP-CAPTAIN BERESFORD-PEIRSE informed the Sub-Committee that the Air Ministry had already despatched two Japanese and one Chinese linguists, and were prepared to accept the proposed increase. The Chinese linguist already despatched could fill the vacancy mentioned in the second telegram. The Air Ministry concurred in the proviso mentioned by Brigadier Page. THE SUB-COMMITTEE:Instructed the Secretary to circulate to the war Office and Air Ministry a draft report for submission to the Chiefs of Staff, in the light of their discussion.
