MR. HAYTER said that the Foreign Office had already arranged for the appointment of one of the officials, and that he would be leaving for Cairo towards the end of May. The second official had not been selected, but he understood that the selection was under consideration. It appeared, however, unlikely that a permanent member from the foreign service would be available before the following year, and it was probable that some temporary appointment would have to be made in the meantime.
