4. ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION TO PALESTINE. THE SUB COMMITTEE had before them a Minute≠ by the Secretary, covering a copy of a Minute from the Secretary of the Committee on Illegal Immigration in which he asked whether the Sub-Committee could assist in providing a report of the activities of the American Joint Distribution Committee in connection with illegal immigration, and evidence thereon which could be used by the Foreign Secretary in an interview with the American Embassy. In discussion it was agreed that sufficient evidence was available for the Joint Intelligence Staff, in consultation with M.I.5 and M.I.6, to prepare a report on this subject.
