BRIGADIER PAGE said that he did not think it was within the province of the Director-General of Ordnance Survey to sponsor a review of the whole problem or prepare a policy on which instructions, covering several Government Departments, might be drafted. BRIGADIER ALLEN said that there were two aspects of the problem, and they would require separate handling. Firstly, there was the technical aspect of excluding from ordnance survey maps such items as Service and other Ministries required to limit.
