CONFIDENTIAL (e) The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces becomes the President of the Chiefs of Staff Committee. The status of this Committee as an advisory and not an executive body remains unchanged. Its members will be the Chiefs of Staff of the three Armed Services and a representative of Marshal Juin. (f) The Minister of Defence takes over from the Minister of Associated States all financial and administrative responsibility for the Expeditionary Force in Indo China. 3. Position and Responsibilities of Marshal Juin Marshal Juin relinquishes his post as Inspector General of the Armed Forces and President of the Chiefs of Staff Committee.
