The development and production of fighter aircraft has progressed on similar lines as has also the operational coordination of these aircraft with the remainder of the active air defence forces. Moreover, the Russians, have extended this co-ordination to the Satellite and Occupied countries where the air warning and fighter elements appear to have been integrated with their counterparts in the Soviet air defence organisation.
