Probable form and Scale of Attack Against and Within Anzam, Comments on Australian Appreciation

1 Jan 1953

TOP SECRET DRAFT ANNEX The Secretary UKSLS Melbourne. The Chiefs of Staff have now studied the appreciationø by JIC(Melbourne) on the probable form and scale of attack against and within the ANZAM region. It is regretted that their comments have been delayed. 2. The Chiefs of Staff consider in the light of their apprecition of Communist global strategy that the Australian appreciation over-emphasises the naval and air threats to the ANZAM area. It is difficult to indicate these differences of emphasis simply by textual amendments to the paper.
