TOP SECRET 3 4. The main changes in the accepted Order of Battle of the Soviet Air Forces since the circulation of the previous paper last October, are :— (a) The addition of eight fighter regiments to the Naval Air Force; 3 to the Black Sea Fleet, 3 to the Baltic and 2 to the Far East. (b) The deletion of seven regiments from the P.V.O. (Fighter Defence Force), some of them through lack of evidence of their continued existence and some of them through transfer to the Tactical Air Force. (c) The conversion of a further three divisions in the Long-Range Air Force from light bombers to TU-4s, increasing the medium bomber strength by over 200 (33⅓ per cent.).
