Reference J.I.C.(53) 30 24th March, 1953 CHIEFS OF STAFF COMMITTEE GUARD JOINT INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE SECURITY IN A CERTAIN COUNTRY Note by the Secretary At their meeting on Monday the 23rd march, 1953+ the Chiefs of Staff agreed with the above-quoted report by the Joint Intelligence Committee, subject to the following amendment and invited the ministry of Defence to bring the conclusions and recommendations of the report to the attention of all Departments concerned with passing information to the French:Insert at beginning of recommendation 1(d):"Always dependent on the need to know principle".
