TOP SECRET GUARD 9. In order to prepare the United Kingdom case for these limited discussions we have detailed, at Annex II, the various studies which would be required. The use to be made of these studies should be decided in the light of the American reassessment of the whole problem referred to in paragraph 7 above. Recommendations 10. We recommend that the Chiefs of Staff should:(a) Take note of the reportø by the Ad Hoc Committee on South East Asia and of the subsequent letter ≠ from the Foreign Office.
