The relative responsibilities of the Services and M.I.6. in peace and war have been agreed as follows, and confirmation of the Chiefs of Staff is now sought: (a) In Peace: A.I.9., Air Ministry: (i) (ii) Training of Service personnel in the technique of evasion and escape. (iii) Research on and development of special equipment to meet the needs of evaders and escapers.
