TOP SECRET ANNEX [J.I.C.(GERMANY)(50) 270 Final 2nd Revise 23rd February, 1951. ] HIGH COMMISSIONER'S MILITARY CONFERENCE THE FUTURE OF THE INTELLIGENCE DIVISION IN GERMANY Report by the Joint Intelligence Committee (Germany) Changes in Anglo-German relations and in the Defence Organisation in Western Europe clearly call for a review of the future of the Intelligence Division in Germany. 2. The following factors have a direct bearing on the problem: (a) Our relations with Germany, particularly if German re-armament goes ahead, may more nearly approach those normal with an ally rather than with an occupied country.
