CONFIDENTIAL ANNEX Note A. In the following paragraphs the phrase "Iron Curtain countries" is used to denote all countries or territories under Soviet or Satellite control, or governed by authorities allied or subservient to them. The British Zones of Berlin and Vienna, should not, for the purposes of this document be classed as being behind the Iron Curtain: restrictions should, however, be enforced, as appropriate, on members of certain agencies therein, such as BRIXMIS. Note B. Departments will wish to provide their own appropriate definitions of "access to highly secret work" as used hereafter.
