It is issued for the personal use of CHIEFS OF STAFF COMMITTEE JOINT INTELLIGENCE COMMITTEE EFFECTS OF SOVIET OCCUPATION ON WESTERN EUROPE IN THE EVENT OF WAR Report by the Joint Intelligence Committee Public statements have been made by persons in responsible positions to the effect that the Soviet Union must be prevented from overrunning Western Europe since that would be the end of Western civilisation and the end of the peoples who live there, and that the promise to rescue the West in due course after an invasion from the East is quite useless.
