Civil Aviation Relations with Yugoslavia. Report by the Joint Intelligence Committee

1 Sep 1949

SECRET (b) Similar relaxations were decided upon by the United States Authorities and arrangements already exist for an exchange of information between the United States and the United Kingdom about their respective exports of strategic goods to ensure that the total trade with Yugoslavia is kept within reasonable bounds. It is hoped that corresponding arrangements will be made in due course with other Western European countries (i.e. O.E.E.C. countries). (c) There appears, therefore, to be no reason why, subject to like safeguards, civil aircraft and associated equipment should not be supplied to Yugoslavia.
