Whilst the combined Anglo-American Intelligence appreciation* on "Soviet Intentions and Capabilities" is still our basic intelligence study, we have now begun to relate our appreciations to 1950 and consider that it would be advisable for the Joint Intelligence Committee (Middle East) to follow this procedure.
