Passing of Intelligence from Hong Kong to Singapore. Report by the Joint Intelligence Committee

5. Since the date of this meeting, the British Defence Co-ordination Committee have sent draft charters for Local Intelligence Committees to Local Defence Committees in the Far East, including Hong Kong. 6. The Governor of Hong Kong has now established a working intelligence committee comprising his Political Adviser, Defence Security Officer, the Director, Special Branch and Service intelligence representatives. 7. The J.I.C.(F.E.) hope that this Working Committee, although not named as such will in essence perform the functions of a Local Intelligence Committee.
